I saw on the front page of a local newspaper a group of nudists cycling the Central Otago Rail Trail braving bad weather. Anyone here know of any other nude cycling events?

I havent done it before but I am doing it this year. In fact I am organizing a new ride. Closest ones to me are over an hour. I mean if I cant get one organized ill travel but local would be nice.

It's at Sunny Rest in Palmerton, PA, north of Allentown. I'd love to do the duathlon there, but it's a bit too far for a day trip for me, but I've read that people come from all over to do it. I've been to Sunny Rest once and it was nice. There's lots of trails, the people were really nice, and there's a poolside bar that has Yuengling on draft. I LOVE me some Yuengling, haha! They don't sell it here in CT so I'll usually bring a case back with me when I'm in PA. |

Hey,
I'm thinking of doing a tour by bike this summer of a bit of the UK taking in several naked bike rides, Southampton - London - Brighton - Bournemouth, being potential locations! Never done it before, seen the Brighton one several times though...!
Edit:
Just read on the website that it will take place whatever the weather, come prepared for whatever weather conditions be it tipping it down or blazing heat...I'd have thought we're a bit limited as nudists as to how we can take precautions? Perhaps a bit of sun tan lotion but how else?!

I had a bad spill once riding down a hill, and I somehow landed in a way that a hole scraped through the side of the seat of my bike shorts causing some bloody roadburn underneath, so I had to finish the ride with a large hole in my shorts. So even when riding clothed your rear end is still vulnerable, haha. But yeah, it would have been a lot worse without clothes. |

well there are also two more local cycling events. world naked bike ride in albany and in NYC.
I was thinking of organizing one in newburgh or danbury

i know . they are uptight about everything.. I went to college there.. its just a locality idea.. Newburgh may be better. IDK their views. Maybe this year I will just attend the two existing ones.. Albany and NYC and then next year do one of my own. unless I do it a month later on short notice.

Yeah, it's best to attend one first before starting your own so you know what to expect, get some ideas for planning, etc. I've read in various forums online that CT used to have several remote places where skinny dipping was tolerated decades ago, but they've all been shut down mainly due to uptight people complaining. Sad.

I need to get a new seat for my bike though. its never been ridden nude and the seat hurts clothed. I dont need any problems.. haha
