Ohhhh, so your back home making dinner infront of the computer? That's just silly It's called multi-tasking...... Actually lasagne does just fine in the oven by itself while I'm sitting here.....

You mean the oven bakes it for you? As for going barefoot, it feels silly to have shoes on, when you're nude from the ankles up. I hike barefoot, as long as I'm on a trail and don't have to worry about hidden sharp things in the groundcover. My driveway is gravel, so I wear flip-flops to take out the trash and get the mail.

Yep... other people have self-cleaning ovens.... I have the self-cooking model..... although it screwed up last night and got the edges a little overdone..... not like it was *my* fault or anything...... I've never really understood the shoes thing either.... ok flip-flops are one thing for foot protection, but shoes and socks while nude? Not gonna criticize since I'm one of those that only wears shoes when I'm at work. And flip-flops walking around outside in Phoenix during the summer. Yes the parking lots are that hot......

Agree with most of this. I am one for being barefoot when walking in all terrain. Fair enough it can be uncomfortable, but you soon get used to it. My parents house has gravel stones across their driveway and when i can i did tend to walk across barefoot. I'm not there often though. When i was in Australia i only ever wore "flip-flops" more or less every day for about 4 months. On Christmas day i went kayaking along the river and when leaving my vehicle to walk to to best place to get onto the river (a good half mile) i decided i'd leave my flip flops in the car and walk barefoot along the path. It was pretty uncomfortable through the stones but it was also a very hot day so the ground was even hotter. Nothing is worse than walking along a hot beach barefoot though. What's worse about that is it is near impossible to walk along with flip flops on so you kinda have to be barefoot.

i like to walk barefoot, and the good thing about it is the more u do it the more u get used to it. Especially it's nice when u want to walk in the forest and see more animals, because u make less noise and step more carefully. and on the grass or sand it just feels nice, like a massage otherwise i like sandals, especially my last ones from Athens made by ancient greek design

I love barefooting. First of all at my parents house it was the only kind of naturism which was accepted and encouraged. Then it just feels awesome to feel the live and connection beneth you even if you end up with scars every once in a while. Besides that I only have two pairs of shoes and my sandals which are awesome. As much as a love barfooting every once in a while you need a nice pair of sucks and shoes to keep them dry:) Cheers D

You should all try barefoot running if you enjoy athletics. It actually gives you a more efficient technique as you subconsciously run better. By that I mean you land on the ball of your foot and take off on your toes, in trainers you may neglect the proper technique because you can afford to, but barefoot it less painful to run properly as the ball takes the force out of your feet.
I remember going to the beach in Wales, naturally took off my sandles, went swimming etc. and time to pack up and go back. Literally walked the four miles back to the car holding my sandles. My mates looked at me slightly strangely as we were walking over gravel for a good part of it, but I really don't feel a lot through my feet now, just built up a good layer of skin over the years - good for rockclimbing barefoot too!

I have to wear shoes during the school year, but in the summer I practically live barefoot. It just takes a while to get used to, and feet toughen up after awhile.
I still look funny walking in my driveway though, because it's all rocks. Checking the mail is an everyday challenge.
Maybe I should buy some flip flops...

always... kinda Vibram five fingers rock! Closest any "shoe" has gotten to going barefoot for me. They are really versatile, have used them for everything from trail runs to going in the water where the bottom was less than friendly for feet. I am always barefoot at home and like to be outside when it's pain free or safe.

Is that only true in the country? Or is it still true at all? Krissy

When I was in primary school, I would always run barefooted, more grip, faster. But one thing to watch out for, splinters (from australian weeds)!

When the weather is warm, its kinda fashionable though for girls to take their shoes and socks off at the end of the last class for the day put them in our bags and go to the beach or even the mall in school uniform and bare feet. I do it sometimes.... guys seem to like it
